Sexuality is an important aspect of human life, and each woman defines and experiences her sexuality differently at different stages of life. 43 % of woman age 18-59 report sexual problems or dysfunction. Hormones are related to sex drive and sexual functioning. New screening tests can determine if a woman has low hormone levels and appropriate individualized treatments can be prescribed. Sexuality does not necessarily decline with age for everyone; women are sexually active well into later life.
