Academic Freedom in an Age of Industry Collaboration: Changes and Challenges

This program introduces the discussion of how academic scientists may productively integrate university and industry research collaborations while protecting one of the research university's primary missions. That mission being the conduct of research to provide scientifically based information without bias to expand the knowledge base on which medical, dental, pharmacological and nursing diagnosis and treatment is based. The keynote speaker is Davis Rabban, of the UT School of Law.
